Make-A-Wish Foundation of Arizona Holds Sweetest 12th Annual 2008 Wish Ball

By Myra Richman

“An Enchanting Evening in Candyland”

The Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Arizona held its 12th Annual Wish Ball at the Westin Kierland Resort on April 26th, 2008, presented by Health Net of Arizona.

Always a spectacular black-tie event, this year was no different. Fabulous live auction items included: a private jet for a VIP getaway to Las Vegas, a stay at a $5 million penthouse in Scottsdale, a private in-home dinner prepared by local celebrity chef Eddie Matney, amazing trips, and to top it off a $15,000 diamond necklace from Molina Fine Jewelers.

Entertainment included celebrity emcees Johnjay and Rich from 104.7 Kiss FM, dueling pianos and music by Alice Tatum.

This year's theme couldn't have been sweeter -- "An Enchanting Evening in Candyland".

Following a spectacular silent auction and gourmet dinner was the live auction, entertainment and an inspiring presentation by former wish child, 23-year-old Chelsea, who spoke about the time she was introduced to actor Josh Hartnett in 2002.  A presentation to Dr. Anthony & Jenny Hedley followed, for all their support of the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Guests danced the night away, looking beautiful and feeling great about supporting a very special organization.
