The AFP Greater Arizona Chapter's Celebration of Philanthropy was held November 9, 2016 at JW Marriott Camelback Inn Resort & Spa -- in honor of National Philanthropy Day.

Congratulations were in order for the 2016 Leadership Award winners:

Outstanding Foundation/Corporation - Kemper & Ethel Marley Foundation

Outstanding Fundraising Executive - Tamara Bohannon, Catholic Charities Community Services

Outstanding Youth in Philanthropy - Bailey Netsch, Alpha Chi Omega – ASU Sorority

Outstanding Philanthropists - Billie Jo & Judd Herberger

Outstanding Volunteer Fundraiser  - Mike Hutchinson

These special honorees were celebrated at this year's Celebration of Philanthropy Luncheon along with the Spirit of Philanthropy honorees.

The celebration began with a morning educational presentation with world-renowned authority on philanthropy, Kay Sprinkel Grace from San Francisco, and concluded with the awards luncheon. Ms. Grace was also the luncheon's keynote speaker.

Returning Master of Ceremonies, Don Henninger, handled the large ballroom crowd with charm and great respect.

Numerous award winners were recognized and honored at the podium for their leadership and support of many nonprofits in the Valley of the Sun--a great inspiration to an appreciative audience.
