Downtown Soul Gala
By Myra Richman...
The Friends of Child Crisis Arizona held its annual gala Saturday, February 11, 2017 at the Sheraton Grand Phoenix.
Beginning with a cocktail hour on the terrace of the hotel, and expansive silent auction, a crowd of 475 turned out in Motown style to have a great evening while supporting the only emergency program for children from birth to age eight in Arizona, Early Head Start and Preschool programs and coordinating home visitation services and family classes and workshops--and much more.
The music of Soul Power filled the room, and the clever decor was reminiscent of the Motown days.
A very lively auction added to the evening and stirred up the crowd with some outstanding opportunities: a new 2017 Cadillac XT5 Crossover from presenting sponsor Arrowhead Cadillac, an exclusive six-course in-home dinner for 40 guests prepared by Thrillist Chef of the Year Silvana Salcido Esparza of Barrio Cafe, the ultimate 'Hamilton Experience on Broadway' package, Taste of Tuscany vacation package and a trio of diamond dazzlers donated by Isaac Jewelers.
Because of the efforts of so many dedicated individuals, thousands of children will continue to experience the love and care needed to gain a fresh start in life.
