Arthritis Foundation's Oscar Night America

Oscar Night America celebrated its 16th year in Phoenix on Sunday, March 7, 2010, at the Arizona Biltmore Resort & Spa with a sold-out event.
More than 400 guests entered the event on the red carpet with awaiting paparazzi flashing bulbs, excited to enjoy many surprises, a cocktail reception, make-up touch-ups and swag bags. Guests made a dramatic entrance to the ballroom with 'Hooray For Hollywood' playing them in.
Except for the absence of George Clooney, the evening was perfect.
At dinner, while watching the direct simulcast from ABC's broadcast of the 82nd Annual Academy Awards shown on several giant screens throughout the ballroom, everyone received an official Oscar show program and enjoyed a multi-course dinner. There wasn't a bad seat in the house.
The honored guest was Senator Carolyn Allen, thanked for her many years of tireless work in advocacy for the Arthritis Foundation Greater Southwest Chapter.
The Phoenix event is one of 50 official Oscar viewing parties hosted around the United States, and was generously sponsored by Health Net of Arizona and National Bank of Arizona. Deborah Bateman and Chuck Sowers served as the evening's co-chairs.
The Arthritis Foundation's Greater Southwest Chapter provides services for 1.5 million men, women and children in Arizona, New Mexico and El Paso, Texas who are affected by arthritis.
