Duet "Jazz Cabaret" Featured The Reed Family - Francine, Margo, Mellody and Michael

Jazz Cabaret, Duet’s 29th Annual Concert and Auction, took place Sunday afternoon, March 21, 2010, at the Arizona Biltmore Resort & Spa.   Entertaining the 360 Valley music fans in attendance were The Reed Family – Francine, Margo, Mellody and Michael, who highlighted this year’s event.

The Reed Family showcased their jazz, soul, and blues tunes. Together and individually, the family has supported and opened acts for internationally know musicians, including Willy Nelson, Miles Davis, Etta James, Roy Orbison and Smokey Robinson. The talented musicians of The Usual Suspects were back-up to the star performers.

KJZZ Music Director and announcer Blaise Lantana served as Emcee, and Rabbi Marty Scharf brought humor and skill to the live auction as the event's auctioneer.

Wine, sumptuous food and desserts were served.   Hundreds of items, including art, jewelry, sports items, event tickets, dinners, theatre, and great get-a-ways were featured in a silent and live auction, to help Duet offer volunteer support services to homebound elders and adults with disabilities - to help them live independently in their own homes.

OVERHEARD IN THE LOBBY ENTRANCE:  "This is the best organized auction I have ever seen."
