Save the Family "Golf 2 Save the Family"

By Myra Richman

The Phoenician Resort Golf Club was filled with happy golfers competing in the 6th Annual Golf to Save the Family golf tournament May 13th. The tournament included several contest holes and hole-in-one contests for a brand new Dodge Charger and a Hawaiian Vacation. Many other prizes were awarded to winning foursomes.

Before and after an exciting round of golf, participants were treated to a complimentary breakfast and lunch and a silent and live acution on the terrace. All proceeds will benefit the Save the Family Foundation of Arizona, a nonprofit organization founded in 1988 that helps Valley homeless families become self-sufficient.

Kari Lake from Fox 10 TV hosted the festivities and Trend Homes was the Exclusive Title Sponsor. Presenting Sponsors were Superstition Springs Toyota-Scion and Superstition Springs Lexus. Other generous sponsors included Jordan Engineering, Michael A. Pollack Real Estate Investments and Salt River Project.

Save the Family's mission is to provide homeless families with children the tools necessary to achieve long-term financial, parental and personal self-sufficiency through a comprehensive program of transitional housing, case management and supportive services.
